Besides preparing our children with new school clothes, books and supplies, we may neglect the most vital part in ensuring our children grow up healthily - nutrition, vitamins and minerals are important elements to nourish your children's bodies to help them focus in class, retain information and energy to play.
Packing a healthy lunch or a yummy snack for your children can be easy.

Read on to find out more!

Make Breakfast A Priority
Start the day right with a nutritious breakfast. Encourage your children to fuel up before school, sit down and eat with them. It does not need to be an elaborate hot meal. Simple and easy-to-make options such as eggs on toast, a bowl of wholegrain cereals with milk or oat with fruits are healthy choices of a quick, nutritious breakfast.

Pack Healthy Snacks
Your children may be hungry by the end of school. And hungry children are most likely to snack on unhealthy snacks or inclined to overeat. So pack healthy snacks to curb their hunger. Good options include nuts such as walnuts or almonds and fruits such as apples and bananas. This way, your children will not feel too full when they reach home for lunch or afternoon snack.

Make Lunch Fun
While schools offer a variety of food and beverages, it's advised to pack healthy snacks for your children so they get all the nutrition they need throughout the morning. Make the boring ol' sandwich into a healthier and fun meal by swapping white bread with wholegrain bread or wheat tortilla wraps. Besides lettuce, try adding shredded carrots or avocado slices with chicken meat or turkey ham so your children find excitement in every packed school lunch.

Supplement Wisely

Can your children eat all this is a day???

  • 10 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 3 glasses of milk
  • 4 cups of broccoli

Although real food provides your children with the fuel they need, it's difficult when your children are picky eaters.
